The Loopy Chair
The second iteration of The original Loopy Chair. A work of assembly-line art, available in steel, fiberglass, and cloth variations.
The Loopy Chair
An Organic Form for Surreal Living
We set out to push the boundaries of function, form, and play. The Loopy Chair is a sculptural seating object that transforms a simple, continuous looping line into a usable chair. The piece captures the feeling of a doodle coming to life — a lively, animated sketch frozen in space.
Each chair is handcrafted from a single winding fiberglass tube and finished with a high-gloss paint, creating a vibrant, almost cartoonish silhouette. Designed to be as much an art object as it is functional furniture, The Loopy Chair invites users to rethink everyday forms and embrace the unexpected.

Behind The Project
Making The Loopy Chair

Originally released in 2019, the first Loopy Chair was inspired by the playful curves of a loopy bike rack. That initial edition featured a thinner frame and a single colorway. Now, after several years, we’re thrilled to revisit the design — making it thicker, glossier, and available in multiple vibrant colors.
The Miniatures Photoshoot

To bring the world of The Loopy Chair to life, we created a miniature landscape inside our studio, building a tiny grassy hill and photographing scaled-down versions of the chair. The playful shoot mirrors the spirit of the design itself — capturing the feeling of a childlike sketch winding its way through a surreal, colorful world.

Prototyping is an integral part of our design process at the studio– when designing an object with an entirely unique form, we often first start by making that form in miniature. It's a helpful step to work out any structural kinks early on in the process, and it also leaves us with tiny objects that are just really cute. There's something here about being able to hold the world (or a huge chair) in the palm of your hand..
