In the world of design, we use insulation sheet foam for prototyping literally everything. There are two kinds of foam– the pink kind and the blue kind. Both are exactly the same, the only difference is the color. Nik Bentel and Reilly Fitzsimmons had a bet– Which foam do people like best? YOU decide. The color with the most T-shirt sales wins! Making The Pink vs. Blue Foam Collection
When prototyping, pink foam and blue foam are part of the process not just for us at NBS, but for Riley and many other designers alike. They are ideal for building 3D mockups, testing ideas, creating backgrounds and sets, and much more. Pink foam and blue foam each have their own fans and people who prefer one or the other for their own reasons.
Not only was creating this foam standoff with Riley through garments and painting a fun way to explore our individual homages to design. It also let us work with someone who shares our intention, care, and love.
